Imagine building a company that took years to establish, dedicating your whole life to it in order to see it come to pass. And God comes to you and says, “the foundation of that is corruption, destroy it, give your life to me and I will give you something better”. Would you trust God and give it up? That was the decision Detroit rapper Clean had to make in 2005, forsaking all to follow Christ (including rap). As a result to that decision, faithful God kept His promise and Prayer Lyfe Media was born.

The first product was a magazine fitly titled, “Luke 8:17” inspired by Minister G. Craig Lewis “Truth Behind Hip-Hop” series. Once the magazine was completed, Clean discovered that he was broke and could in no way afford to publish Luke 8:17. So he put the magazine on hold so that he could find a job. In his search he finds himself being turned down for work he was over-qualified for. Frustrated and with a baby on the way in less than a month, Clean had thoughts of resorting to his old lifestyle of getting quick money. Realizing the beauty of his salvation, and the liberty of choice, he chooses not to lose then says to himself, “I’m not going back for nothing!” Inspired more than ever, he starts writing gospel raps to beats he had archived from back in the day. In rain sleet and snow, you may have met Clean taking donations with an empty ice tea can. With the faith and support of many metro Detroiters, every donation down to the penny funded his first gospel rap CD “Power of Faith”. His raw but uncompromising rap style full of truth has set free people all over the world. With seven CDs and a movie under his belt, Clean says,” This is only the beginning”
